Redesign of cable accessory
Prysmian Group Denmark is currently looking for a 2nd or 3rd year bachelor student with a background in mechanical engineering or machine construction to work on improving one of our (non electrical) cable accessory items.
As a student you will gain insight into the cable market and as project manager you will be briefed by Prysmian North Europe matrix team ultimately responsible for the project. Afterwards, you will define your own tasks and take responsibility for prioritizing your time. You will be able to collaborate with our various departments for details and input.
The project focus is further development of one of our current cable accessories. You will gain insight into the pros and cons of the current model and be provided with the research already completed on this area.
The challenge for you is to come up with ideas as to how Prysmian can provide electricians with a better functioning and more versatile, innovative, sustainable and ergonomic – that can provide the company with a competitive edge. Your work will include re-design, market and price research, user analysis, supplier sourcing and contact, prototype testing etc.
You must be able to speak and write English fluently and beneficially also Danish. We also expect you to be familiar with the Microsoft Office package and beneficially also a 3D software program.
Project introduction will take place in our office in Albertslund or Malmø, and we would need you to start ASAP or latest January 7th 2019. Project duration can be anywhere from two to six months.
